[ARCHIVED] Inland Cellular 911 Outage

PLEASE PLEASE SHARE AND CONTACT FAMILY AND FRIENDS WITH INLAND CELLULAR PHONES - THANK YOU!

On August 10th a large fire on the top of Lewiston Hill damaged Inland Cellular's infrastructure, causing a significant loss of service to a large area affecting several counties, including Columbia County. Inland Cellular and their disaster recovery team have been working around the clock and will continue until their voice and text messaging services are restored. Unfortunately, they do not have a definite ETA for restoration of services, and ask that you continue to check your voice and text services periodically. Inland Cellular asks that you continue to check their Facebook page and website for updates every 2 hours until services are fully restored. Their 4G LTE and 3G data services are working and operational.

While Inland Cellular's voice and text messaging services are unavailable there are a number of applications and services that can be used to call or message over LTE or WIFI. You can make a phone call with many of these applications including: Facebook Messenger, Google Hangouts, Snapchat and more. iPhones, Facetime and iMessage function as normal.

Until services are restored, Inland Cellular customers will be unable to dial 911 in the event of an emergency. We recommend you use a land line whenever possible. If this is not possible, you may be able to use one of the applications above to contact a friend or family member using another service (i.e Verizon or Sprint) who can contact emergency services for you.
