The Superior Court is the court of original jurisdiction for the following areas:
- Felony criminal proceedings
- Cases involving contract disputes
- Landlord-tenant disputes
- Real estate matters
- Personal injury suits
- Domestic relations
- Probate
- Juvenile cases
- Civil claims over $25,000
Appellate Jurisdiction
The superior court also has appellate jurisdiction in cases arising in courts of limited jurisdiction (municipal and district courts) and also hears appeals involving decisions by an administrative law judge.
