Columbia County, the City of Dayton, and the Town of Starbuck have begun the process of updating their Comprehensive Plans. The process is designed to solicit, from the public and outside agencies, suggested updates to the Comprehensive Plan and development regulations for future consideration. A docket list
of updates combining private applications and jurisdiction-initiated changes will be developed.
A docket list of items to be reviewed is in process and will be added to:
2020 Comprehensive Plan Docket List
Comprehensive Plan Docket Form
The Docket item review process allows more opportunities for public participation. A series of public meetings and hearings, first for docketing and then for consideration of updates on the Final Docket List, will be held by the City and County Planning Commissions, the Board of County Commissioners, and Starbuck and Dayton city councils (dates and locations will be announced at a later date). Information will be available and public comments on the final proposed amendments will be accepted via mail or e-mail.
The target for completion of proposed Comprehensive Plan updates is June 30, 2019.
Questions should be directed to Columbia County Planning at 114 S. Second St., Dayton WA 99328, or at 509-382-4676, or
