The Columbia County Sheriff's Office now accepts credit and debit card payments through GovPayNet. Payments can be made with a major credit, debit or prepaid debit card, including:

*Note: Credit/Debit card payments for Concealed Pistol Licenses, fingerprinting, photocopies or payment of civil process fees must be transacted in person at the Columbia County Sheriff's Office.
GovPayNet is a privately contracted credit and debit card processor under an agreement with the agency intended to receive payment. If the GovPayNet payment is bail or bail related, GovPayNet is the merchant of record, providing a remote cash bail processing service. For all other payments, the collecting agency is the merchant. If you have any questions about GovPayNet's role, please discuss them with the contracting agency.

We contract with other facilities to hold some inmates. Although some inmates may be listed, they may be housed elsewhere on our charges, or they may be out on Electronic Home Monitoring. Please confirm their location with the Columbia County Sheriff's Office at 509-382-2518 before visitation.
INMATE VISITATION -
NO ITEMS OF ANY KIND MAY BE PASSED FROM THE VISITOR(S) INTO THE JAIL, OR TO INMATES. EVERY ITEM FOR THE JAIL OR INMATE(S) MUST BE GIVEN TO A DEPUTY WHO WILL ADVISE IF IT IS ALLOWED IN THE JAIL! ITEMS PASSED TO THE JAIL OR INMATES WITHOUT GOING THROUGH A DEPUTY ARE CONSIDERED CONTRABAND AND IS A CRIMINAL ACT.
Inmate visitation is on Mondays between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. and on Thursday evenings between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Visitation is subject to the availability of the booking room and officer availability to facilitate the visitation. All visitors must have a valid picture identification and must be at least 10 years of age and be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No food or toiletry items are accepted from the outside for inmates. All items are provided to the inmates by the Columbia County Jail, or through purchase of commissary.
If you wish to provide books (paper back only), magazines or newspapers for an inmate, they must come directly to the inmate from a recognized book store (i.e. Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc.) or as a subscription to the inmate. Material of a sexually explicit nature is not allowed. All reading material sent to inmates become the property of the Columbia County Jail upon the inmate's release.
